Can A teacher Get Fired For Yelling Out Your GPA?

She yelled my gpa out to the class. And made fun of me for it, kind of. We have a special reward party on friday and you have to have a 3.0 or higher. My gpa is 2.29 wich cant be possible because at the beginning of the year I had D's and F's and had a 2.57. So I just wanted to see what my grades were to see if I was aloud to go to the reward party, and as soon as I walked up she said "NO YOUR NOT EVEN CLOSE!" and then she yelled out my gpa. This really hurt my feelings and I was trying so hard in class not to cry. What do you think I should do?


And no this isnt just for me to work harder she always does this.

It was unprofessional and cruel. Fired no, reprimanded yes. Talk to the counselor and get this mess straighten out soon. Get your parents involved. See the principal if necessary.

No, of course not. But she can be repremended if she does it multiple times - it's not something you're supposed to do, but it's certainly not something you can get fired over either. And yeah, I don't know how you managed to get a 2.57 with D's and F's - should have been a lot lower. But hey, you just posted all your grades on the internet. You can't be too ashamed of them.

Talk to her about it. Bring in the guidance counselor to have a neutral party present.

Well, your grades are not horrible - and yes you are close. She's an idiot. just bring up a couple of the grades and you would've been eligble. don't let her bring you down like that.

second of all, you need to go to the dean or principal or whatever you have at your school, and also to a counselor. She can't do that, and it is grounds for termination of her position.

good luck, and keep up the good work. you'll do just fine. and a little FYI - after high school,and after college - your GPA doesn't matter. Employers don't look at that as much as they do your extracurricular activities, your experience, and your attitude.
