worried i might get fired for going to these websites?

I have been told twice not to download limewire. I did it again and forgot about it. Today IT told me I had a bad virus and they seemed annoyed saying they might have to rebuild my machine. I told them it might be from limewire, they said it was that or yahoo messenger. i didnt realize i couldnt have yahoo messenger. I have a laptop which i bring home with me...i guess i sometimes forget and go wherever. THe said, please just be careful what sites you visit. I sent him an email asking if i was going to get in trouble but he didnt write back. I'm nervous. I've been here for 4.5 years.
