 Old employer wants to rehire me after 6 months. I was laid off,? so I want to have the correct questions to ask when I meet with him tomorrow. What does "retroactive" mean? and I want to have the correct questions to ask when I meet with him tomorrow. What does "retroactive" mean?      |

| retroactive means going back to a certain point in time. If I'm given a pay raise today retroactive to the beginning of the year, my employer would calculate the wage difference for the weeks worked between then and now and pay me that on my next paycheck. |
