Did some band have an album cover showing the WTC on fire released before 9/11/2001?

Or is this an urban myth? I heard that there was an album released prior to September 11, 2001 where the cover had a picture of the WTC on fire.

Is this true? Or is this just an urban legend?

Perhaps there is an album cover like this that came out post 9/11.

I had never seen that disc by "the Coup". I had actually thought there was another band that had done this as well. Weird!

Yes, some rap group called "Coup" released an album showing them blowing up the World Trade Center before 9/11 happened.

The band Dream Theater actually released their album ON September 11, 2001. The cover depicted the world trade center buildings, as well as the rest of NYC on fire. Needless to say the album was pulled and released with a different cover.

Dream Theater, and they pulled it. Then re-released it with a new cover. The original had the towers with a Heart with barbed-wire super-imposed on it and set on fire. Sad how this could have happened.

It's true. The name of the group (rap) is The Coup, the album is Party Music. It originally was going to be released in early September. The initial artwork showed the twin towers being blown up by the two members. After the attacks (the album had not yet been released) they changed the artwork and pushed back the release date.
