I hate my boss and it's making me depressed. He's a micro-manager and he's stupid.?

By stupid, I mean he makes a lot of mistakes and blames it on the rest of the dept. He forgets a lot, has no logic skills, doesn't know how to treat people so that we can all work as a team and really succeed.

He criticizes employees in front of others to make them feel stupid. I know he does this out of insecurity but it's still hard to deal with.

I have no respect for this man at all. My 2 co-workers can't stand him either and we are all job searching.

I have been looking for another job but the depression from this one is killing my joy for searching for another job. I've become uninspired and lazy. Joy has left my life.

How do I rekindle the joy for life and find the enthusiasm to search for another job? Should I just quit now & then look for a job? I could live w/o a job for abt 1 month.

get a new job asap life can be depressing cuz it is life but my mom has a really nice boss so remember not all bosses r jerks thats all i can say to inspire you to look for a new job

Wrongfully terminated would be better.

Don't quit yet. You need to look into unemployment benefits.

When you get a job offer that's good, take it, but know that most places take at least a month to get you your first check.

You need to have at least three months reserve to quit and go looking full time. You must expect to be looking for a while and have to a long while wait for your first check.

Remind yourself that you will soon be handing them a two week notice.

The problem with your problem is....bottom line....he's the boss.

You either have to have something concrete to take to his boss.....or you have to put up with it until you find other employment.

Try to remember....you only have to be there 8 hours and then you can leave to live the part of your life you enjoy.

I have been in your situation before and i needed a break. Can you take some leave off work. If you have annual leave or even a day or two without pay.First have one day to de stress then the next, start looking and go for job interviews.
you'll give yourself a well needed break as well as not cut your ties for feeling obliged to rush getting another job, you'll still have options. Or option number two, buy a voodoo doll of your boss and start pricking!!!!

People out their looking to hire new employees always look a little more favorably on you if you have a job now. So keep it if you can stand it.

I've worked in places like your at! All for a darn buck! Please try to hang in there and look for a job while your still working so you won't run out of money .Tell yourself: "I am NOT going to let Mr. Killjoy ruin my life or a chance to find a better job!" I was working at a place like you and I use to hum or play the radio low [only if you can] and mentally would block the jerks out! I acted up beat to kill the negative vibes, even though it was hard it paid off I got out of there.

Why can't your influence to find another job be the fact that ur boss is a stupid prick. You want to get out of there as soon as possible, right? Just think of the man and bam your searching all over [insert where u live] for someone to take you. Every time you get back to work and see his face you'll know you have to get a new job.
