One of the managers at my job is pressuring me to be Santa this year. But I'm not comfortable with the idea...? I work for Walmart. About a month ago, one of the Assistant Managers asked me if I wanted to play Santa this year. I said no, but apparently he sensed some hesitation in my voice. Ever since, he has been trying to sucker me into doing it anyway.
First off, I'm only 30. Second, I don't feel I have the voice for it. And third, as much as I like kids, I don't like them THAT much! lol
Oh and fourth, I'm nervous as hell about sitting at the front of the store trying to be Santa. I took Drama classes in high school so I could use that to my advantage. But damn! That manager just won't get the hint that I am not comfortable with doing it. And yet, I don't seem to have the nerve to just flat out say, "no, I refuse!"
So for the sake of curiosity, what are the possible pros and cons to accepting the role besides maybe some brownie points? |
